Lets hope they include Mono and it's the original Mono track this time.

I didn't know a remake was coming. No doubt it'll be hideous. Robert Englund is so synomis with the role

I'm hoping Warner Brothers re-release the first Nightmare on Elm Street on DVD in the UK uncut and with the sound problems fixed. I was going to buy the R2 SE but didn't because I read on another DVD website/forum that the Region 2 version was still cut and had sound problems.

Also I'd like to see the other Elm Street movies re-released with plenty of extras as well (especially Part 2: Freddy's Revenge and New Nightmare), along with the two seasons of the syndicated TV series Freddy's Revenge.

EIV own the UK rights not Warner, who would've just re-used the messed up SE Master Warner/New Line gave them (used on the R1 SE). The R1 SE is the same.

I do apologise. And there was me thinking Warner Brothers owned the rights to the first Nightmare on Elm Street film.

I correct myself, I did not realise Warner Brothers didn't own the rights in the UK. Who owns the rights to parts 2-7?

You may have been thinking of Friday the 13th Part 1 which Warner own the rights to (with the rest of them being Paramount over here). As for Elm Street, EIV have the rights to the whole lot in the UK (and it's Warner/New Line in the USA).
