I was surprised to see this from Sony actually as they're not the UK distributors (I certainly don't remember their logos when I saw it in the cinema) so there's a possibility it'll be locked.

DaveF : oh yeah, i see :s
Guess that if it's locked, it's because Weinstein has maybe something to do with it ...

But otherwise, all the "real" Sony's releases (Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, Last Action Hero etc ...) will surely be region free ;)

Added the artwork for the theatrical edition DVD. Also confirmed the commentary is on both versions of the film (previously we had it down as Unrated only).

Region All as it turns out but no French whatsoever. Unrated only on BD so another 15minutes to suffer through!

Well, it's not official yet but This is It should be out 22nd Feb in the UK and from the early specs we saw it's got French (Parisian) subs as well.

DaveF : seems weird that the UK blu-ray could have french subtitles :s
Because the studio editing the blu-ray is a local (UK) studio : Entertainement in Video, and i never see on any of their blu-ray some french on it :s

So we'll see ^^

I may have misunderstood your comment but the Unrated cut will be available on DVD too according to the press release - same as the first Halloween. Apparently the extra footage gives the film a different tone and Zombie prefers this DC. Personally, I really enjoyed this film and so won't be 'suffering' at all... was great to see a challenge to the Halloween franchise ethos, and something which has ultimately left it with a brilliant paradox for H3D!

Both cuts are available on DVD (separate releases) - it says Rated and Unrated on DVD in the main story. I was just commenting that the Blu-ray only has the Unrated. Usually they put both Rated and Unrated on one disc with Blu-rays but not in this case.
