Now that Artifical Eye have released Chungking Express at a reasonably priced RRP here in the UK, the question for those with Region A+B compatible players is: Is the Criterion worth the extra cost? Below you'll find comparison grabs that should help you come to your own decision on that.

It's a shame that the Artifical Eye transfer is so damn dark, it's quite nice otherwise and would prove a satisfying cheaper alternative to the Criterion. It still does I guess, but you do lose a load of shadow detail.
