Warner Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology on 10th March 2009 priced at $129.95 SRP. Comprising of Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, this collection includes all of the extras from the Special Edition DVD releases.

There are no individual releases listed.

All films are presented in 1080P 1.85:1 Widescreen with English 5.1 Dolby TrueHD and 5.1 Dolby Digital. Subtitles are available in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, German, Italian, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish.

Batman also features French 2.0, Spanish (Castilian 2.0 and Latin 1.0), Italian 2.0 and Portuguese 1.0, while the sequels all offer French 5.1, Spanish (Castilian 5.1 and Latin 2.0), German 5.1 and Italian 5.1. Portuguese 1.0 is included on Batman Returns while Batman Forever and Batman & Robin offer Portuguese 2.0.

These are already out in the UK as seperate releases. They are region free (the R1 DVD set was a few years back was as well actually) and Batman Returns is now uncut. To save money Warner resubmitted it and the BBFC passed it uncut, this means Warner can just use the same discs in North America and Europe.

I am not sure what PQ or the sound is like as I don't own them. I have the R1 DVD set and will just pick up the first 2 and Batman Forever in a sale.

The SD DVD versions of this on R1 mysteriously disappeared, so I'm curious as to if they will get another release.

Does the R2 Batman Returns have the commentary, its listed but what missing from the dvd
