MGM and Fox Home Entertainment have announced the UK Blu-ray Disc release of Raging Bull on 9th February 2009 priced at £19.99 RRP. Robert DeNiro stars in director Martin Scorsese’s film that recounts the gritty and emotionally unsettling career and personal life of tenacious boxer Jake LaMotta.

Any chance this will be region free? I notice Fox are using it a lot less lately.

For some reason, and contrary to most UK DVD releases, Blu-ray discs often seem to have foreign subtitles. Any ideas why?

Plenty of UK DVDs have non-English subs. It's about equal.
Agreed it would be nice to know such information, what the audio spec is too. Dave can only paste what he's given though.
