Darkman Trilogy (R1) in August

Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Darkman Trilogy for 7th August 2007 priced at $19.98 SRP. Sam Raimi’s original Darkman film is bundled together with its straight-to-video sequels for this franchise collection release by Universal.

The films are spread across two-discs (Darkman and Darkman II: The Return of Durant on a DVD9, Darkman III: Die Darkman Die on a DVD5) and are given new anamorphic widescreen transfers, DD5.1 Surround audio and optional English SDH and French subtitles. Extras are TBC.

Can't wait for this, I enjoyed the original, Darkman 2 was okay, haven't seen Darkman 3 though. Hope the extras are good

With two films on one disc and the other on a DVD-5, I think you can pretty much forget extras guys....

Yeah, I like the cover art.  And they're not trying to make out it's some kind of definitive edition, just a cheap & cheerful way of getting all 3 films.

But they should really have given Darkman its own DVD9 - with extras - and put both sequels on a second disc.

 I really can't understund why they go with so much editions for a film instead go with just 1 super duper edition :(.1st film is great yes.I think the 2nd too.Haven't seen the 3rd.The message for this edition is: don't buy me!An UE is coming :D (I hope)

I would love to hear a Sam Raimi commentary. A good commentary track is sometimes the only thing you need.

But it's strange they opt to have both Darkman I & II on the same disc instead of having the sequels together on one disc.

The TV movies were okay, though it's been a long time since I've seen them. Darkman I is the best of them all, I still think the movie could have been better.
